How do I upgrade from IE 7 beta 2 to IE 7 beta 3?

Okay, I downloaded the latest version installer from the microsoft website for specifically "Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3", but when it does all it's stuff, it says "IE is already installed on this computer" and IE is still beta 2. help!

First of all un-install IE7 Beta 2, then install IE7 Beta 3. I must warn you though. After installing IE7 Beta 3 my computer's web access started to go crazy. Some sites took ages to load and some did not load at all, no matter how many times I refreshed the page. MSN Messenger (or Windows Live Messenger) might keep telling you that you can't log on due to an unknown problem and Hotmail's website might not load.

To remove the current beta of IE7:

1. Load Control Panel (e.g. Click on Start and then Control Panel).

2. Click on "Add or Remove Programs" (or double click on it if Control panel is in classic view mode).

3. Check the option "Show updates" on top of the Add or Remove Programs window.

4. Scroll down to find "Internet Explorer 7" (this might be under "Windows XP Software Updates").

5. Select it and click on the button on the right to launch the un-installation wizard, which will guide you through removing the program.

Then you will be able to install IE7 Beta 3 if you so wish.

Smiply uninstall IE Beta 2 %26amp; re-install IE beta 3
It`s easy :). Uninstall the IE 7 beta 2 from Add\Remove Programs and install the IE 7 beta 3.
Uninstall Beta 2 and install Beta 3.

You can uninstall from Start%26gt;Control Panel%26gt;Add/Remove Programmes%26gt;Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2%26gt;Remove
That's right. It says in the instructions to make sure you delete IE7 beta 2 or it won't install right.

I have a better alternative for you. Firefox browser is light years ahead and doesn't use up as much resources on your computer. I was a naysayer until I did it last year. I will never go back to IE unless they get their act together as far as the spyware and active x mishaps.

You can have both on your computer for the times you run into a webpage specifically written for IE. But, firefox has an extension that allows that also. I think I have had to do this maybe 5 times in a year but I just click on the IE view tab and presto.
plz note that if ur copy of windows is not original "geniune", then IE 7 beta wont be installed !
To be quite honest with you I would un-install all versions of the IE7 and instead go with Firefox as alternative browser. Firefox also has extensions that expand on its capabilities. I would suggest the Fasterfox extension and the IE Tab extension. The Faster fox allows the users to have multiple pipes to load websites. Its kind of like having multiple channels at once opening the page so the page loads much faster. The IE Tab extension allows websites that are built for Internet Explorer to load correctly using the Internet Explorer Engine. Simple click on the Firefox Icon on the bottom corner and the page will refresh and load as IE. Netscape also has this functionality built into their system. Netscape also includes scaled down versions of AOL Instant Messenger, a spy-ware scanner and gives you more flexibility for customizing you browser experience including the IE functionality, blocking pop-ups, and utilizing Active X all within Netscape. In my opinion, Microsoft is making a poor attempt at keeping up with the times. These browsers are the pioneers of the new technology that IE7 is now including in their browser.
